Why my spark plug got screwed up so soon?

I just gave my motorcycle to authorised service centre. They said my spark plug has got shot. It wont work and they replaced it with a new one. The last one i replaced was just before 3 month (i have driven almost 4000 kms after that). What are the reasons for spark plug to get screwed up so soon? Fuel?
