Is this ok for a diesel engine car to run for only 10 KMs a day and 25 KMs in weekends in city drives.?

For such low runs diesel is not a great option. It will never cover up the cost invested. Go for Petrol. Buy a diesel if your run is more than 50 KMS a day 1500 a month. You will need to look at the ownership cost and premium value for both the engines which will help you in your decisions. If you looking for a good resale value then you will need to look at a car from maruti or hyundai.
