Where is the best place to live in Mexico for a young Canadian?

well san cristobal de las casas chiapas is a good city and it's nice but there isn't beach, the beaches zones are hot in summer and some zones are cold in winter and others hot all the year like Puerto Escondido Oaxaca, San cristobal is cold but it's full of tourists and very calm.
