Must be around 25 Kms at least going through the shortest route, but, but, but...it may 'feel' like much more, considering the traffic in Mumbai especially during peak hours. See if you can get a seat on one of the 'contract' buses ( on monthly basis), some of which have AC, so you can go comfortably to work reading your paper in the morning and on the return, either napping or doing a crossword in the afternoon paper....absolutely a stress-free journey.
